Career

Graduates of the study programme “Audit & Taxation” will predominantly be employed in national as well as international taxation and auditing companies and in consulting firms. They can also be employed in corresponding departments of big business companies.
Well-known and internationally operating taxation and auditing companies are e.g. Ernst & Young, Rödl & Partner, KPMG, PriceWaterHouseCoopers, Deloitte & Touche, etc.

After graduation students have to decide on the occupational field they want to focus on in the medium term: auditing or tax consulting. Because both occupational fields overlap to a great extend, it is quite common in the industry to start a career as certified tax consultant and continue eventually as auditor/certified public accountant. Both intended careers make it necessary to successfully pass the professional exam. A certain amount of work experience after graduation is required to be admitted to the professional exam.
