IUBH awards scholarships to highly motivated applicants with excellent school performance and the potential to excel. Apart from our own scholarships, our university awards scholarships sponsored by co-operation partners like AIDA, Phoenix Reisen, Deutsche Lufthansa and Ließem-Stiftung. Criteria for awarding a scholarship are as follows: your personality and school performance, involvement in social services and your financial situation. Since IUBH is a state-recognised university, our students have the opportunity to apply for a partly repayable student grant according to BAföG (German law for educational support). BAföG can provide additional support for the coverage of living costs. International students can apply for a BAföG student grant only under certain conditions. As a general rule, they have to have a prospect to stay in Germany and should be socially integrated.
